Nicole Fontneau-Bowers is a Chatham native.  After throwing her first pot in the 10th grade, her career path was clearly defined.   Nicole continued on to college at Coastal Carolina University where she double majored in Marine Science and Art Studio………eventually dropping the Marine Science to completely submerse herself in the arts.  Nicole obtained her Bachelors’ degree in Art Studio in 2001 and moved back to Cape Cod where she lives with her husband Anthony and their 2 daughters, Mackenzie and Delaney. Nicole finds inspiration in the seashores of the Cape.  She strives to depict these elements in her functional and decorative pottery thru embellishments and glazes that reflect the colors and textures of her surroundings. It is the fine balance between aesthetics and function that guide her on her evolutionary journey as a potter.
